Sign it, Vernon!

According to several reports, the Toronto Blue Jays have made a formal contract offer to outfielder Vernon Wells. The deal is reportedly worth $126 million over 7 years, or $18 million per season.

If signed, it will be the sixth richest contract in the history of baseball, and obviously the biggest in Blue Jays history.

The Jays have shown their desire to build a contending team by spending tons of money, and are hoping that's incentive enough for Vernon to stay in Toronto.
