This just in: Meche's replacement not very good
Miguel Batista is back in the American League. The Seattle Times says the pitcher has signed with the Seattle Mariners for $24 million over three seasons.
Batista will be almost 40 at the end of the deal. He has a career 68-79 record and 4.46 ERA. He was 11-8 last year with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Prior to that he spent two seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays, amassing 15 wins and 36 saves.
